Archival quality paper certification trademark

Commonwealth records of enduring value need to be created using materials that will last for the long term. To that end the National Archives encourages the manufacture, supply and use of paper products of archival quality. Paper products that meet our standards can be readily identified by our archival quality trademark.

The National Archives is accredited (by the National Association of Testing Authorities) to test the compliance of products with these requirements, and maintains a register of approved products.

If you are a manufacturer, see below for the rules of use for the trademark.

The trademark is intended to signify that certain products have qualities that make them suitable to use for the creation and storage of archival records of enduring value. In order to satisfy this need, the products must demonstrate specific qualities of chemical stability and physical durability that will be sustained over long periods of time.
