Normal Administrative Practice training

Description

Normal Administrative Practice (NAP) is an important tool in managing records efficiently and in streamlining the destruction of unimportant information in your agency. It allows you to destroy certain types of records in the normal course of your business, without having to undertake a sentencing project.

This interactive session explains how to successfully implement NAP in your agency with a clear understanding of the business context and risks involved. Key topics covered in the session will include:

  • how your agency can maximise use of NAP and still ensure accountability
  • the kinds of records you can apply NAP to
  • developing a NAP policy to suit your agency business needs
  • the procedures and training needed for staff in your agency
